Difficult Knowledge

In April 2017, NiS+TS members walked in the Turtle Grove area of Dartmouth with visiting professors and students working on a research project called Difficult Knowledge in Public. The researchers are considering ways in which traumatic events and histories, such as residential schools, the Holocaust, and the Halifax Explosion can be addressed in museums and other public settings. In this photo, participants form a talking circle as part of the gathering. We were very fortunate to have elders Joe Michael and Catherine Martin with us for this event.
